This page explains how to delete the data ZClips holds about you, including any data obtained from a connected third-party account such as Facebook/Meta, Google/YouTube, TikTok, Twitch or Kick. You do not need a ZClips account to read these instructions.
1. Delete only a connected account (for example Facebook)
Disconnecting an integration removes everything we hold for that platform. It does not delete your ZClips account or the clips you have already generated.
- Sign in at zclips.me/workspace.
- Open Settings for your personal connections, or your workspace settings for a workspace-level publishing connection.
- Find the platform in the list of connected accounts.
- Select Disconnect and confirm.
On disconnect we immediately revoke and delete the stored OAuth tokens (which are held encrypted) and the minimal profile snapshot associated with that connection. Videos you already published to that platform stay on the platform; they are yours, not ours, and must be removed from the platform itself.
2. Remove the ZClips app from Facebook
You can also revoke access from Facebook's own settings, which works even if you can no longer sign in to ZClips:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.
- Find ZCLIPS in the list.
- Select Remove.
This invalidates our access on Facebook's side. To also erase what we already stored, follow section 1 or section 4.
3. Revoke ZClips' access to YouTube from your Google account
ZClips uses YouTube API Services. You can withdraw our access directly from Google, which works even if you can no longer sign in to ZClips:
- Go to the Google security settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/connections?filters=3,4&hl=en.
- Find ZClips in the list of connected apps.
- Select it and choose Remove access.
This stops any further access on Google's side. To also erase the YouTube data we had already stored — OAuth tokens, profile and channel snapshots, monitored-channel records, imported source video, transcripts, generated clips and publish history — disconnect from Settings as in section 1, or delete your account as in section 4. Videos already published to your YouTube channel are yours and stay there; remove them from YouTube itself.
4. Delete your entire ZClips account and all associated data
Send a deletion request to legal@zclips.me from the e-mail address registered on your account, with the subject Data deletion request. We verify the request, delete the data and confirm by e-mail within 30 days.
What is deleted:
- Your account record, profile data and authentication credentials.
- All third-party integration tokens and profile snapshots (Facebook/Meta, Google/YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Kick and any other connected platform).
- Source videos, transcripts, generated clips, thumbnails and uploaded music.
- Publishing history, analytics records and workspaces you solely own.
What is not deleted: billing and invoice records we are legally required to retain under Spanish tax law, and content already published to a third-party platform under your own account. Backups are rotated out on their normal schedule.
